Old World meets New World in Eroica. Drawing on tradition and classic techniques of the Mosel’s Dr. Loosen and Chateau Ste Michelle’s viticultural experience and innovation, our combined winemaking efforts and philosophy crafted a wine that is focused and intense, a highly aromatic Riesling. The grapes are grown exclusively in Washington’s Columbia Valley.

Today’s wine is one we’ve reviewed and recommended multiple times over the years. Consistently delicious and always a great value, the 2017 vintage carries on the tradition.
The 2017 Chateau Ste Michelle and Dr. Loosen Eroica Riesling begins with a very pleasant aroma of lime, green apple, tangerine and a bit of a chalky note. The wines tastes excellent as usual with a wonderful tart acidity offsetting the sweetness and a smooth, round and lively mouthfeel. This one is a perfect match with spicy Asian or Indian food. It ends off-dry with a very long, mouthwatering finish of tart fruit.
