The Argiano motto “Non Confunditur” can be found on the family crest in the entrance to our ancient cellars. It means “unique” and truly characterises this rich, refined, elegant wine with soft tannins and a lovely nose of red berries and “Mediterranean scrub”.

The 2016 Argiano NC Non Confonditur Toscana Rosso begins with pleasing aromas of ripe cherry and other red berries, dried herbs (sage, mint and more) and a bit of a brambly note. Taking a sip reveals this to be succulent stuff! The wine is full of red berries and other flavors similar to the nose and has great depth of flavor. Add in a dash of minerality and dusty tannins and this is really tasty. It ends dry, long and savory.
Even though it’s composed of mostly international varieties (Cab, Merlot and Syrah) it’s still tastes distinctly Italian. It’s drinking really well right now, but we also found that it improved nicely throughout the night so be sure to give it some time to breathe. Pair it with red meat sauces.
